Top 20 Chillout Tracks Second Half of 2018
Logical Elements – A Purple Rose In The Sky Garden
From Melusine Records’ Ancestral Lullabies III compilation, this serene and floating psychill track is a worthy contribution to a charity release that benefits “Casuta Bucuriei” ( The House of Joy), an orphanage in Romania
Earth Sine & Earth Connect – Connected Sine
The tandem of Earth Sine & Earth Connect walks you slowly into the desert with shimmering guitar work that reveals the hidden hum of life on this dusty trail.
Master Margherita – Eight Degrees South (Ultimae Dub)
Pure calming ambient from Master Margherita and a highlight from Ultimae Records in 2018.
Transponder – Beholder
One of the first releases of newborn ambient label Exosphere Records, Transponder delivers darkly cinematic ambient flavoured with a Berlin School touch.
Zoungla – Goodmorning Ozora
Bright, cheerful psydub from Canada’s own Zoungla. A morning anthem for the chill festivals.
Ascendant – Beyond the Horizon
Ascendant’s space ambient music always makes the universe seem less cold and vast, and more inviting and joyful.
Scion – Sky Ocean
Scion builds worlds with his music, and the world of Sky Ocean is a beauty.
Lumino – Step Through (Organic Patterns Mix)
The night can be frightening, but Lumino & Organic Patterns’ lullaby spreads the path to calmness with glowing mushrooms.
Symbolico – Human Beans
We human beans are a silly lot, but we do love our rollicking psydub!
ekaOlogik – Perseida
The title track from ekaOlogik’s Perseida album is one of our favourite examples of chillgressive to be released this year. Highly recommended for chill festival DJs!
Sync24 – Bunnies on shrooms
Sync24 returned in 2018 with Omnious, perhaps the most anticipated psychill album of 2018. We were happy, and the tripping bunnies certainly were happy.
Ludo Ji – Valley Of Flowers
Ludo Ji reveals the enchantments of India through his world-chill album Organic Nasha 2.
Axsemetrix – Star Shepherd
We feel underwater, but something is guiding us to the stars. An evocative ambient piece.
Merlyn Silva – Woven
There is a touch of psytrance in this dancefloor-friendly chill track.
Noosfære – Remembrance
Multilayered, this track will keep you mesmerised as glitchy psychedelic sounds explode in front of your eyes like firecrackers.
Rhizomorphic – Cerebral Reflections
A bubbling cauldron psychedelic soundscapes that somehow manage to stay cohesive and utterly relaxing.
Panda On The Bamboo Tree – Unwavering Lush Sonority
Panda On The Bamboo Tree’s mission was to combine many acoustic forms and instruments into a single chill experience, and Unwavering Lush Sonority is clinically-tested psychill for the REM sleeper.
Essence Project – Groovy Way of Relaxing
Psydub that has travelled the world and learned a few languages along the way.
Bansara – Rising Storm
Bansara’s music perhaps could be called “World Psychil.” Bansara’s sound is a quest to harmonize ancient wisdom with modern technology, and a call to protect nature.
Takkra – Merging Matter with Spirit
Deeply spiritual and thoroughly psychedelic, Merging Matter with Spirit is a celebration of the exploration of the mind.
