Dub was born in Jamaica in the 1960s as an offshoot from Reggae. If you know your Electronic Music history, you know that it’s hard to imagine modern day Electronic Music even existing without Dub. In turn almost every electronic genre has gone back to Dub. And so did Psytrance and Psychedelic Chillout. Amazing musicians such as Shpongle, Ott, Eat Static, Shulman, Bluetech, Kaya Project and many many others have flirted with Dub in their own way and scope along the years and gave birth to PsyDub. And this marriage totally makes sense. Nature, stoners, tribal gatherings, acid, electronic music, dub, psytrance – born to be together!
