Tell us about your first encounter with electronic music.
My first real encounter with electronic music was around the age of 16. I remember driving in the car with my older brother when he played me the legendary track “B.P. Empire” by Infected Mushroom. He told me how crazy and unique that sound was for its time. I think that moment opened something in my subconscious – it sparked a deep curiosity for electronic music. From that point on, I slowly started exploring and listening more and more.
…we always talk about heaven or hell, black or white – but what about everything in between? That space where life actually happens.
Do you remember your first Psytrance party?
Yes, I remember my first Psytrance party very clearly. I grew up in the north of Israel, surrounded by green nature and rivers. When I was 17, there were trance parties almost every weekend near the Jordan River, not far from my home. It was a very special experience for me as a young guy – something completely different in terms of atmosphere and environment. I used to ride my ATV through the fields, searching for a party, and then call my friends to join me. There was a strong sense of brotherhood, with a very simple and welcoming atmosphere. We would spend hours there, discovering what felt like a whole new world. From the very first moment, I felt at home – and very quickly I understood that I wanted to be part of it.

Which music influences do you have? Which is your favourite Psytrance artist?
My musical influences come from several artists such as Captain Hook, Loud, Perfect Stranger, Astrix, and many more. My favourite artist is without a doubt Captain Hook. From the very first time I heard his music, there was something that touched me in a completely different way – a unique kind of energy. It goes beyond words. To this day, his music still connects with me on the deepest level.
…today I’m actually grateful for every “no” I got… I truly believe that every “no” has a reason – it’s leading you to something that fits you better, even if you can’t see it at that moment.
When did you start music production and why?
As I mentioned earlier, I was going to a lot of parties and slowly fell in love with Psytrance. But one day, just before I turned 18, I went to visit an old friend who was a Psytrance producer. We used to spend a lot of time together, but I had never actually seen him making music. Then one day, he showed me how he works in FL Studio. The moment I saw it for the first time, something clicked. For the first time in my life, I felt like I had found myself. It was a very special moment. I remember feeling like I had to go back home immediately and start exploring it on my own. From that point on, my life completely changed – and to this day, I’m still working with the same software 😅

Tell us your story of joining Shamanic Tales.
So, it’s actually a bit of a funny story. I had an EP I really believed in and sent it to several labels – most of them didn’t respond. I kept working on my music at the same time. One day, Shahar from Shamanic Tales reached out after discovering my music through Transcendental’s “Top Underground Tracks” year mix. I sent him more material, including the EP I was so confident about. He told me he would get back to me within a week… but a week passed, then another, and nothing. Even after a follow-up, no reply. At that point, I was a bit disappointed and decided to let it go. After a few weeks, I had almost forgotten about it. Then one day, on my way home, I got a notification that Astrix started following me on Instagram. I didn’t connect it at first – I thought maybe he just saw something randomly. I was already excited. Then he messaged me saying he listened to my music and really loved it. From there, everything started. Interestingly, some of the labels that ignored me before came back only after Shamanic Tales showed interest. At the time, I was a bit frustrated, but today I’m actually grateful for every “no” I got. If one of those labels had said yes, maybe I wouldn’t have had the right music to send Shahar. I truly believe that every “no” has a reason – it’s leading you to something that fits you better, even if you can’t see it at that moment.
What is your studio setup? Which synth do you use the most?
My studio setup starts with my monitors, which I really love – Barefoot Footprint 03. I’m using an RME ADI-2 Pro FS as my audio interface. On the hardware side, I use a Moog Sub 37 and a custom-built upgraded clone of the classic TB-303 by Made on Earth, which has a very special character. In the box, I mainly work with plugins like Monark, Serum, Sylenth1, and Diva, along with several Juno-style replicas that I really love.
Your debut album ‘Between Heaven and Hell’ was just released; tell us about the story of creating it.
This album means a lot to me. Let’s start with the name – “Between Heaven and Hell.” The idea came from a Mac Miller song I really love that I heard a few years ago, where he asks: “What’s between heaven and hell?”. That question stayed with me. Because we always talk about heaven or hell, black or white – but what about everything in between? That space where life actually happens. For me, that’s here. Life is made of moments of heaven – happiness, love, peace, family, good friends, and beautiful experiences. But at the same time, there is also sadness, pain, wars, and loss. That’s life. It’s meant to be both. There is no joy without sadness, and no sadness without joy. We are here to experience the full spectrum of emotions. The album reflects that idea – it has darker moments and lighter moments, ups and downs. It’s a journey, just like life itself. It’s a topic I could talk about for a long time, but for now I think this captures it.

Your favourite track from the album & your favourite Psytrance track.
That’s a hard one, haha. I think the track I’m most connected to is “Between Heaven and Hell.” It’s not a coincidence it opens the album and also carries the album’s name. I feel like every track on the album reveals a different side of me that you haven’t heard before. I gave it everything I had, and I’m really excited to hear people’s reactions. On the dancefloors, the response so far has always been very strong. My all-time favourite Psytrance track is “Desert Adventure” by Captain Hook.
Future plans.
In the near future, I will be playing for the first time at Ozora Festival in Hungary – something that has been a dream of mine from day one. I first attended Ozora when I was 19 as a visitor, and from the very first moment I told myself I would do everything I can to come back there as an artist. Now it’s happening, and I’m really excited. I’m working a lot on my set. There is also an upcoming EP of remixes from my album by artists I truly respect, but I can’t say too much about it yet – it’s going to be special. On top of that, I’m working on new music, collaborations, and two remixes for artists I really love. It’s going to be an exciting year.
