“Old Is Gold” is a tribute by LOUD to 4 psytrance all-time classics. The Israeli duo went into the studio and re-worked the tracks, giving it a fresh and updated touch while skillfully keeping the vibe and spirit of the originals. The remixes to “Infected Mushroom – Devil”, “Man With No Name – Teleport” and “Etnica – Trip Tonite” are widely known and were played around the world, and the duo re-opened them and freshened them up a little for this EP.

It is somewhat risky to remix epic tracks like the ones LOUD choose. Tracks like Etnica – Trip Tonite are timeless, and people will always listen to the original, and some will always prefer the originals.

The EP also features LOUD & Oforia remix to “Tandu – Alien Pump”. The original track was released Tandu`s (Ofer Dikovsky, Oforia, and Marko Goren) debut album, Multimoods (listen to it HERE), back in 1997. To these days, Alien Pump is considered a groundbreaking track, deeper and more emotional than what was common in the scene back then. And, above all, the track features what can be describe as one f the biggest climaxes in psytrance history. Not a single person could stay indifferent to this exciting melody, that to these days, almost 20 years later, still gives us goose bumps every time we hear it, and not just for us.

Some words from LOUD on the EP: “The main “event” here is the new remix to Alien Pump that we had the chance to make with Oforia himself, who for us is one of the best things to ever happen to Psytrance… The chance we had to re-work the timeless Alien Pump with him was like a dream come true…”
