Maharetta Records is celebrating its 15th Anniversary. Could you tell us about the story behind the label’s creation?
The idea to establish Maharetta Records first took shape around the summer of 2010 during festival season. Juan (Hypnoise) was touring and performing at various festivals, and he felt it was the perfect moment to launch Spain’s first psytrance label dedicated to promoting talented artists from around the world who weren’t receiving the recognition they deserved. Initially, Juan managed the label solo for several years before Zac Neutron from England joined and contributed significantly to the label’s growth. Later, Andrew (Amplify) came onboard, and he now co-manages Maharetta alongside Juan. Given that Juan and Andrew have been collaborating for over 20 years as the duo Delysid, their partnership in managing Maharetta Records was a natural progression.
How would you describe Maharetta’s musical style? Is there something specific that differentiates you from other labels?
Maharetta Records has always embraced diverse talent from around the globe. Many renowned artists today had their first releases with us, spanning various psytrance subgenres. Recently, our focus has shifted more toward a groovy full-on psytrance sound ideal for early mornings and midday dancefloors—energetic, melodic, and uplifting.
Our artists deliver powerful, high-energy performances tailored for key festival moments—especially sunrise and midday dancefloors.

Could you share more about yourselves and your journey in psytrance?
The label is run by Juan (Hypnoise) and Andrew (Amplify), who together form the project Delysid, active for over two decades. Individually, we also have extensive solo careers. Our partnership feels like a brotherhood; our connection was instant and remains rare, making collaboration seamless. We share remarkably similar tastes in music, which makes managing the label together an absolute pleasure.
Is Maharetta Records open to signing new artists, or is your roster currently closed?
At the moment, our primary focus is on our in-house artists since we maintain a consistent release schedule of two releases per month. Our goal is to ensure that our artists have ample opportunity to showcase their music. Additionally, we typically release two or three compilations curated by our DJs each year, which gives us a bit more flexibility to feature artists from outside our roster.
We’re always open to listening to demos from new artists; however, signing new talent can be challenging unless they genuinely stand out. We also intentionally keep our roster small to preserve a close-knit, family atmosphere—this has always been central to Maharetta’s philosophy.
Can you tell us a bit about your artists?
Our artists form a vibrant, international family. We proudly feature established acts like Fiction, Less Is More, West Galaxy, Chacruna, Hypnoise, and Amplify, alongside exciting emerging talents such as Blöt, District Solaris, Hydro Generator, Parasynthax, Illuzio, Alternate Side, Don Quixote, Montez, and Ana Valeriano.
Our DJ roster is equally strong, including talents like Uciel, Yuki, Alien, Wildmoon, Roen, Duferones, Blackburn, and Michael Liu. Each artist brings something special to the table. We cultivate a culture grounded in humility, respect, and genuine collaboration, free from egos, and this supportive environment truly sets us apart.
Where has Maharetta performed internationally?
Maharetta artists have performed at some of the world’s top psytrance festivals, including Boom Festival, Universo Paralello, Own Spirit Festival, Tribal Gathering, and more. Our global presence reflects the strength and consistency of our sound and the trust promoters place in our artists.
How does Maharetta support event organizers and promoters?
We aim to make collaboration seamless. We provide high-quality promo materials (bios, photos, videos), are responsive and professional, and we actively help promote events via our label’s social channels. We also offer bundled lineups and custom showcases, making booking multiple Maharetta acts easy and impactful.
What is Maharetta’s mission in today’s psytrance scene?
