Second Horizon Festival

We all hear about the big and veteran festivals like Boom Festival, Ozora Festival, Antaris Projekt, Psy-Fi and the likes. All either happening for many years now, or catering to many thousands and sometimes tens of thousands of people, or both.

Second Horizon Festival is a small festival that happens in wonderful location in Kiekebusch Lake not far from Berlin. The festival’s moto is “A psychedelic journey to the borders of reality and beyond…”.

But while big festivals offer an out of this world unique experience, it is sometimes the smaller and local festivals that can offer a very special atmosphere worth checking and contain the real magic. Second Horizon Festival seems to be a good example.

This summer Second Horizon Festival happens between June 23 – June 26 and promises a great line up besides the pirate spirit.

Last summer, Second Horizon Festival 2016 took place between the 1st and 4th of July. Three days with two stages where you could enjoy diverse sounds and multitude of styles of music.

On the main stage, the “Second Horizon Stage”, which was situated in a forest clearing, you could hear mainly Progressive Trance & Psychedelic Trance. Among the artists playing were: LOUD, BLiSS, Talamasca, Bubble, Menog, Altruism, Morten Granau, Phaxe, Ritmo, Protonica, Egorythmia, DJ Cubixx – Iono Music headman, Jonas Goa & more.

On the second “Parrot Bay Stage”, situated by the lake, you could hear some harder sounds leaning towards Darkpsy, Hightech & Forest music. Among the artists playing you could find: Kindzadza, Dark Whisper, Cosmo, Oxidaksi, Megalopsy, Technical Hitch, Mind Distortion System and more.
