Psychedelic body painting is part of the psychedelic culture. The revival of body painting in the Western culture begun in the 60`s, around the same time the psychedelic counter-culture began to form. Nowadays, body painting is popular in parties and festivals of the psychedelic movement. Artists paints surreal and dreamlike paintings on models and visitors to the festival, taking the viewers to a trip on the thin line between the imaginary and the real worlds.
