A celebration of colors: Rainbow Serpent Festival 2016

The 19th edition of Rainbow Serpent Festival took place between Friday the 22nd of January and Monday, January the 25th. For 4 days the colorful Rainbow people celebrated a multifaceted weekend of dance, art, and individual expression.

Spreading over 4 dancefloors the festival offered a variety of musical experiences. The psytrance stage hosted the first show of “Iboga Records`s 20th-anniversary tour”, including sets by most of the label`s stars like Ace Ventura, Atmos, Emok, Ticon & Critical Choice.
In the words of psytrance legend Dick Trevor (Dickster, Green Nuns Of The Revolution): “There were the most amazing graphics on the stage courtesy of Iboga Records and their 20th anniversary this year (Congrats guys!). It consisted of a screen behind the DJ and a mesh in front which then created a mental 3D effect of the likes I have never seen before, projecting onto the mesh and combining with the LED screen…”
