Universo Parallelo Festival might not be the biggest psytrance event happening in Brazil but it is definitely the heart of the Brazilian psytrance community and the most international festival in Brazil. Universo Paralello (parallel universe), is one of the biggest and most amazing festivals around. The festival starts few days before NYE and ends few days later, on a stunning location at Praia de Pratigi, a hidden oasis on the Southern beaches of Bahia, Brazil.

Started in the beginning of the new millennium as a small party of few hundred people from around Brazil in the mountains of Brazilian Planalto Central, the parallel universe has been forming on the beaches of Pratigi in Bahia drawing psychedelic people from all around the globe since 2003. Since 2011 it has turned into a bi-annual event, and it has already 13 editions behind it.

Universo Parallelo Festival takes place takes place on a stunning location at Praia de Pratigi, a hidden oasis on the Southern beaches of Bahia, Brazil. Going on for 9 (!) days straight, the festival traditionally features a massive line up.

The weather is hot and humid, as you can expect on a beach in the height of the Brazilian summer.

Who comes to Universo Parallelo Festival?

While Universo Parallelo Festival is a Brazilian festival it is also a very international festival with people and party freaks coming from all over the world for a real adventure in paradise. The last edition saw an attendance of 20,000 people from around the globe. There’s a big age diversity as well, with a lot of veterans of the tribe attending.

Music & Activities in Universo Parallelo Festival

Universo Parallelo Festival has a variety of musical styles: Electronic and Dance Music of all genres, Reggae and Rap played for eight days in seven different areas with six stages: Chill Out, 303 Stage, Tortuga, Main Floor, UP Club and Paralello Stage.

The Circolou has activities like slackline, yoga classes, juggling, drugs awareness, healing space, cinema & more. And there are a lot of art exhibitions and other interesting activities happening.

How to get to Universo Parallelo Festival

Universo Paralello is about 72km far from Valenca Airport, ideal for those coming from more distant states. Those who are coming from the North can wait for the ferry from Salvador and then into Valencia toward Itubera, and those who are coming from the state of São Paulo or the Southern states of Brazil can go to Rio de Janeiro, take the BR 101 towards Salvador to Indent height (the margins of BR 101) and follow the direction of Camamu, Itubera.
