Doof Festival 2016

As the winter slowly starts to fade away and hillsides turn green, the Doofers unite to celebrate the birth of a new spring.

Doof Festival is the longest running psytrance festival in Israel and one of the longest world wide, as this year will see the 13th edition. The people behind it have been organizing parties in Israel for 20 years already. It offers a super-psychedelic experience that will shake your body & soul. The festival’s crowd has a great passion and love for psytrance music and culture, and it is considered by many to be one of the craziest around. The last edition of the festival can serve as a good example for that, as the crowd danced madly in the rain on the last day, ignoring the non-stop rain that flushed the festival.
The last day of Doof Festival is known by Doofers as “The Soup” and we haven’t experienced a more intense dancefloor experience than “The Soup” in all our years of dancing in parties and festivals around the world.

Held on one of the beautiful beaches of The Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret), the festival also offers an opportunity to chill and calm down from the dancefloor madness. The 13th edition of the festival will start on April 28th, and will go on for 3 days until the 30th of April.

Doof festival musical program does not limit itself to one style or sub-genre. While the core of the Doof is always Doof Records home base artists (a pretty intense experience). You can find a wide range of musical styles in the line-up, from darker intense psy artists like Jahbo, Terranoise and UV & Zirkin (2 of the people behind Doof Records), through psy & full on artists like LOUD or U-Recken, Goa Trance artists like Filteria, and all the way to Progressive artists like Atmos, Ticon, Merkaba & DJ Emok. And there will be some techno, chill out and bass for you too.
