David Normal is a San Francisco based painter and animator. He began his artistic journey on the age of 16, making posters for a Punk band. After engaging with parties productions and 3-D animation work, David changed his focus to creating psychedelic oil paintings.
His painting are inspired by his spiritual & psychedelic experiences. Normal has traveled extensively in South-East Asia to document rituals of trance and spirit possession.

One of the most known art works of David is “Crossroads of Curiosity”. Originally created for Burning Man 2014, David Normal used Victorian Era book illustrations exclusively from the British Library’s digitised collections to create the artwork.
