Xerox is the project from Moshe Kenan, an israeli Dj/Producer born in Israel. Initially, Moshe was a DJ, managed two dance clubs in Tel-Aviv (Lem-Light & Turtle House) & hosted a music show on the radio called “Fantasia”, where he discovered electronic music.
Soon after, he met DJ Eyal Yankovich who got him infected with the psychedelic trance virus, resulting later in the partnership with HOMMega label. Moshe started to make Goa trance music as early as 1995. The first Xerox release was published from the legendary Krembo Records in 1997.
Throughout the years, Xerox has establish a strong reputation with his funky baselines and original grooves and unique ability to adapt his musical style.
Featuring old-school Goa trance bumping sounds, “Gravity Waves” EP was received with great excitement. In 1999, he released his first album ever “Freestyle” on HOMmega Productions. His establishment and recognition in the scene was growing steadily, being in high demand on parties around the globe.
Moshe participated in numerous collaborative projects such as Maskalin with Izik Benisty , releasing even an album ” Way Of life” in 2001 on HOMmega Productions. His multi-dimensional talent allowed him to work with even more artists , like Doron Kosovski in the “Xerox and Freeman” project that resulted in the production of the 1998 album “Human Race”. Slowly adapting to the changes of music, Moshe Kenan never stopped evolving accordingly, and expanding even more his collaborative projects. In 2002, Xerox joined forces with Amir Dvir, in the “Xerox & Illumination” or XI project. No less than 4 XI albums were produced since then, providing the same high quality Psychedelic vibes to the audience. Later on, the collaborative project “Vertical Mode” was formed including 2 generations. On one side the veteran and much respected Xerox and on the other side the young and explosive Hanan Gorenshtien, aka Volcano from Tel Aviv, Israel. This fresh Psychedelic sounds embedded with old school vibes have given the project a much respected place in the scene.
Throughout the years, Xerox has establish a strong reputation with his funky baselines and original grooves and unique ability to adapt his musical style. This style of story telling and energy flow will always provide an incentive to dance no matter what, as many original ideas are always thrown into his tracks. Varying from the dark and heavy to the melodic and uplifting, each track seems to have been perfectly curated. Huge, epic trance full of psychedelic power and sonic richness with lots of mutations that keep it captivating.
