Solar Fields, aka Magnus Birgersson, is one of the most respected and prolific psychedelic downtempo artists in the world today, and has a great part in elevating the Scandinavian chillout scene to the world’s attention.

The Solar Fields project was born in the late 90s, and soon took the psychedelic music scene by storm with multiple releases on the legendary Ultimae Label

With classic albums such as Movements, Earthshine, Random Friday, and many more, Solar Fields explored and mastered the realms of psychedelic chillout, tribal, ambient, morning trance, and progressive music.

Solar Fields has also joined forces with two giants in the psychedelic downtempo world: Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana as H.U.V.A. Network, and Carbon Based Lifeforms as T.S.R.

He is also well-known for the brilliant cinematic and emotive soundtracks for Electronic Art’s action-adventure games Mirror’s Edge and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. In 2014, Solar Fields started his own label called Droneform Records, where he now releases most of his music. He is currently working on a new album, to the delight of music fans everywhere.
