AUX25 – Paging Dr. Benway (Kaya Project Remix) Interchill Records

Kaya Project’s remix of Paging Dr. Benway brings a distinctly African funk flavour to AUX25’s original. The star of this remix is the guitar, with Seb Taylor’s North African style playing sitting in the mix over a solid break-beat. There are some subtle electronic notes with analogue synths coming in, but they never dominate the space, and the overall feel is earthy, live instrumentation based around the kalimba melodies of the original version, resulting in a positive and danceable downtempo tune.

Violeta Vicci – Butterfly (Dan Michaelson Remix)

Next up in Violeta Vicci’s AUTOVIA REMIXED project comes this haunting and deeply breath-taking remix by Dan Michaelson. A London based musician, composer and creative instrumentalist, Michaelson is acclaimed for his unique take on sparse beauty and emotional weight, his Epic Minimalism spans film, television and recorded album projects.

Benji Vaughan – Opera Girl

Opera Girl is a new downtempo tune from British producer Benji Vaughan of Younger Brother and Prometheus fame. It is his first downtempo release in years, and is certainly one of the most anticipated downtempo release of 2022.
