WAO Festival 2018 will take place for the 4th time in Italy between 14-19 of August. Set in a magical surrounding on the top of a mountain in Central Italy, WAO Festival offers a unique trip for all senses. Soundscapes of genres like progressive, full-on, twilight, forest, darkpsy and hi-tech will fill the psychedelic Dance Playground. Among the headliners are Kalya Scintilla, Eat Static, Sonic Species and Electrypnose. The Alternative Stage is a real melting pot of emotions with bass, dub, glitch, techno, breakbeat, world music and jazz.

Set in a magical surrounding on the top of a mountain in Central Italy, WAO Festival offers a unique trip for all senses.

The festival hosted 2400 guests from around the world last summer and expects 3000 guests this this year’s edition. WAO Festival defines itself more as a spiritual gathering than a party, and the organizers have picked the nature of the event with that in mind. WAO Festival is set on the top of a mountain, with a breathtaking landscape caressed by wind and surrounded by the green Italian nature, on the border between Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio is the geographical heart of the peninsula and a place immensely rich with art, culture, spirituality, and mysteries.

The festival offers a very diverse line up spread on two stages, The Dance Playground and the Alternative Stage.

On top of the music there’s a healing area, focused on all the possible aspects of global healing, including both the holistic vision and sustainable culture; the sacred space, designed to provide a number of activities designed to support spiritual evolution; and the cultural area, that will focus on workshops, perspectives and concrete ideas for a sustainable future.

But the festival is beyond just music and entertainment. WAO is also a gathering focused on permaculture, eco-architecture and holistic wellness. Last year, the festival won the tender to manage the park where the festival takes place for 12 years and the crew are actively working on the land, organizing cultural events and workshops all year round, aiming to create the first Eco-Architecture park in Italy.
