Masters of Puppets Festival is an underground psytrance festival happening for the third year in a row in 2017. The 2017 Masters of Puppets edition will take place in a secret location close to Brno in the Czech Republic.
The Festival is run by an experienced and enthusiastic team of psychedelic music addicts that consists of three Viennese event and music labels: Kodama, Psygsichta and Masters Of Puppets, who have been successfully organizing events on all kind of scales with different styles of psychedelic music for years.
The Festival centers around the faster end of the Psytrance scale, but also offers a low BPM stage to give people a place to chill.

The organizers state that the aim of the event is “to give an opportunity to experience and express psychedelic arts and music on a different level with lowest possible impact on nature”. The festival is not organized for commercial purposes but for the “love the music, the art and the people in our beautiful subculture” and in order “to provide a space where artists can express themselves and present their talent and music to a broad international audience.”

As mentioned the festival caters for lovers of the more intense and fast genres of Psychedelic Trance which will be featured on the Ragestage by Masters of Puppets and Tree Spirits Stage by Kodama. The festival also offers a stage with lower BPM music to chill in.
The balance between well known and advanced producers and promising newcomers is important to to the organization that takes pride in supporting young artists, and giving space to new sounds.

To include elements that can help individual personal and psychedelic development and raise consciousness the organizers also promise a broad variety of activities that can be mind altering. While music lovers can enjoy more then 190 hours of high bpm music on two stages, there will be a 500 square meters chillout area with low BPM music, several instrumental shows, workshops and teachings including yoga, artistics, arts and meditation, and talks about alternative lifestyle, animal rights, environmental issues and many other relevant topics.

Masters of Puppets Festival Philosophy

The festival takes a stance regarding environmental issues and sustainability and the event and its infrastructure are set to be as sustainable as possible, separating our trash for recycling and keeping the amount as low as possible. Free pocket ashtrays are given to all at the gate. The festival is not cutting down any trees and aims to leave the location in the way it was found. Also the event has a charity aspect: every year it offers a contingent of limited free tickets for certain nationalities.
