Forest Soul Gathering is a new special festival that will celebrate its first edition in July 2017 in a beautiful forested location near the shores of a lake in the North of Portugal.
Forest Soul Gathering first edition will take place between the 21st and the 25th of July in the Barragem do Alto Rabagão, in the north of Portugal and will focus on giving the people who come “the indispensable conditions for the respect of the movement, of yourself and of the spot.”
The location being in an area that was one of the birthplaces of the Celtic tribes, it is no surprise that the festival uses this text as a moto:
“To the Ancient Celt, the world was a magical, unpredictable place ruled by unseen forces and supernatural elements. Every rock, tree and river had a spirit and a force of will attached to it. Never knowing when he or she might be in the presence of a deity or nature spirit, the Celts were careful… they approached the most mundane tasks and projects with a reverence and ritual born of the need to pacify local gods, and to avoid being captured by faeries.” – The Sacred Fire

Forest Soul Gathering Line Up:
Forest Soul Gathering is organized by Kunayala Productions, which was set up by a group of travelers that after traveling the world for 8 years, chose to settle their adventurous souls in Portugal in order to start a new adventure with one goal in mind: transmitting a precise energy to the land and people while activating a “green zone”, rich in history and nature, in order to have fun, exchange and learn with each other and decided to accept the long term challenge of the 100% renewable lifestyle.
They describe the Forest Soul “as an offer of alternatives that can evolve into guidelines, an untouched and magical place ready to host your respect, your diversity, your souls, your talents, histories, experiences and your families”.
While on a boat trip, they stayed for a year in the San Blas, a group of islands between Panama and Colombia, where they met a lovely family, that belonged to the Kuna Yala, that means “People’s land”. In collaboration with them, they created Kunayala Productions in Portugal and the Forest Soul Gathering.
