Pi-Slices – Teenager GIF artist who broke The Internet
Pi-Slices is Philip Intile, 17- year old artist who creates extraordinary GIFs that will tickle your mind. The reason he began to create them because their availability to all and lots of free time, for a long time now not a single day passes without him making a new one, he says. “Anyone can make GIF art once they have the right programs to do so”, he told The Guardian in an article published about him.
He posted his first GIF on Tumblr (The rotating blue pyramid you can see below), and immediately got a lot of attention. In just a year he gained 10,000 followers, and now his profile is followed by more than 22 000 people.
For his work he uses programs like Cinema 4D, Photoshop and After Effects.
He is also the creator of Art Collective. The purpose of this collective is to create a space where GIF artists will be able to communicate with each other and present their work to greater audience, and it had become a real success.
