Enter the unique & trippy world of Zenon Records
Zenon Records is an Australian based progressive psy-trance label run by Tim Larner (Sensient) and brother, Matt. The Australian label is famous for its unique and distinctive trippy sound. Formed in 2003, the label have brought forward a different style of psytrance, that is associated with the label to these days.
Zenon’s sound is anything but ordinary, and in fact people already describe tracks as “Zenonish”. It ranges from deep tech-trance to dark minimal, and from funky minimal to smooth morning progressive, always with a strong emphasis on musicality with a psychedelic touch. Trippy crunchy sounds decorate the tunes released by the label on a regular basis. Zenon music always feels like a journey to another galaxy, much thanks to the futuristic sound design by the artists.
“Small Talk Vol. 5” compilation (released last Nov. on Zenon Records) features label artists only, and really showcases the deep and darker soundscape of the label. Check it out:

One of these promising groups are Grub (Fernando Rodrigues and André Sousa). The duo released just recently their debut EP on the label. “Seventh King” is a 4-tracker EP, including a remix by Sensient to the first track on the release. Check it out:
