Astrix, Avi Shmailov, has been one of the leading trance producers and DJs in the world for more than a decade, with his unique musical blend of psychedelic emotional uplifting trance. The guy who in 1997 as a young DJ stumbled across a Goa Trance party and left it with uncontrollable urge to make this music NOW, made it all the way to the big league, but stayed very much connected to the Psytrance underground.

The track “Deep Jungle Walk” , a deep shamanic and crazy tribal stomper, was played on all festivals and made the dancefloors at Ozora Festival and Boom Festival erupt into a tribal frenzy last summer.

In 2002, Avi signed with Israel based label HOMmega Productions and introduced to the world his first album “Eye-to-Eye”. The raw explosiveness of the album quickly captivated the psytrance scene. During the next years, he went on touring extensively, further spreading his musical message of psychedelic trance to every corner of the world.

In 2004, he released his second album ‘Artcore’, that based him as one of the top in the scene and beyond it. His third album ‘Red Means Distortion’ was released in 2010 and since then he continued to release many tracks on various compilations and digital EP’s.

Astrix fourth studio album, “He.art” was released in 2016 and was received with unanimous praise and wrecked havoc on dancefloors.
